So with all the internet issues going around and with Paul saying it's a router issue and your ethernet not working, there might be a simple fix if you are a pc user. If you're getting an error that says anything about contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for a Domain Name Server (DNS) issue, do the following, and you should be fine. (Even if you're not sure if you have a DNS issue, you can just do this to cover all bases since it won't affect anything. Worst case scenario, it won't fix your internet issue).
  1. Turn off your wi-fi, and plug in your ethernet cable
  2. Go to the Start Menu > Accessories > Command Prompt
  3. Input "ipconfig /release" (no quotation marks)
  4. Then input "ipconfig /renew"
  5. Input "ipconfig /flushdns"
  6. Input "ipconfig /registerdns"
  7. Test your internet connection
Hopefully this solves your problem. If not, your issue may be something else. Props go to Carlos for helping me out with this. Good Luck!
