If you haven't already heard. We have had one student contract a strain of Dengue Fever from a mosquito bite.

Be on alert and stay safe, or you will be miserable for about 3 weeks and struggling to catch up with work!

Tips:
  • Try not to go outdoors at peak mosquito hours. (dawn/dusk/night)
  • Try not to hang around standing water, and remove all sources of standing water from your area if you can.
  • Wear pants and long sleeves if you do venture out at those times in those places.
  • Use mosquito repellant if you have it.
Symptoms of Dengue include sudden-onset fever, headache, mouth and nose bleeding, muscle and joint pains, vomiting, rash, and diarrhea. For more info on Dengue Fever, click here or here.
